Terms of use
The terms that apply when you use Lactation Ledger, and the limits of what a record keeping helper can be relied on for.
What this is
Lactation Ledger is a helper for candidates and certificants keeping their own record of clinical and education hours. It does arithmetic on the entries you make and compares the totals with published requirement numbers, summarised in its own words. It is not an official record, it is not an official form, and it does not decide whether any hour counts or whether anyone is eligible for a credential. Lactation Ledger does not determine eligibility. The certifying body decides eligibility. It keeps records and does arithmetic. It gives no clinical or medical advice. It gives no legal advice either.
Official forms and requirements
The printed summaries here are our own layouts of your numbers, not the certifying body's calculator, time sheets or application. You remain responsible for what you submit and for checking every number against your own records and certificates. Requirements change; where anything here disagrees with the certifying body's current guides and pages, those govern. Lactation Ledger is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE), the IBCLC Commission, the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) or any other certifying body. IBCLC and CDCES are certification marks of their owners.
Your records
Anything the site remembers is stored by your own browser on your own device. It can be cleared by you at any time, cannot be recovered by us, and does not follow you to another device. Keep backups, and keep your certificates and supervisors' details. Do not enter patient or family details.
What is free
Logging the last two years of entries, every total, the gap and pace, the education split, the recertification counter, every guide, and a plain backup of your own records are free to use with no account and stay that way. When billing is enabled, a paid tier sits on top of that and adds conveniences. Nothing that counts your hours, or that gets your own records out, is moved behind a payment, and entries already in your log are always counted.
Refunds
Not happy with a purchase? Email socialreminderinfo@gmail.com within 14 days of a first purchase, or within 7 days of a renewal, and we will refund it. Send the message from the email address you used at checkout, and include:
- the email address used at checkout (if you are writing from a different address)
- your access code, shown on the Premium page on the browser you purchased from
- roughly when you purchased, and which plan (yearly or lifetime)
- the last 4 digits of the card, if you have the receipt handy
That is everything needed to find the purchase and process the refund. This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have.
Acceptable use
Use the site to keep and check your own records. Do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people, and do not present its output as an official document.
Warranty and liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Lactation Ledger is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site or from reliance on anything on it, including hours that are not accepted. A result here is a calculation on the numbers you typed, not advice about your eligibility.
