Lactation Ledger is a free, private hours log for nurses, midwives, dietitians, doulas and peer counsellors working toward the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) exam, and for certified consultants counting recertification hours. It totals lactation specific clinical hours by pathway (1,000, 300 or 500 hours in the five years before applying), the 90 lactation and 5 communication education hours, the 14 health science subjects, and, as a second pack, diabetes care and education hours toward the CDCES credential. - Lactation Ledger does not determine eligibility. The certifying body decides eligibility. It is a record keeping helper, not an official record or application.
- It keeps records and does arithmetic. It gives no clinical or medical advice. It never asks for a patient's or a family's name.
